Monaco Buy Young Sevilla Midfielder

French Club AS Monaco, has not stopped buying players. Towards the close of the summer transfer window, Monaco back to land one player, namely Geoffrey Kondogbia. French midfielder was purchased from Sevilla for 20 million euros. The 20-year-old player agreed to sign a five-year contract with the club which is now owned by a Russian tycoon, Dimtry Rybolovlev.


With this purchase, Monaco has poured more than Rp 2 trillion since they secured their promotion to Ligue 1 last season. Total, Ligue 2 champions are already spending more money than 170 million euros.

"The midfielder will continue its development with Monaco," a statement on the club's official website (www.asm-fc.com), Friday (30/8 / / 2013).

Previously, Monaco has been getting a number of top players, such as the Colombia striker Radamel Falcao from Atletico Madrid, and fellow countryman, James Rodriguez, and Joao Moutinho of Portugal. Both were purchased from the Portuguese Liga club FC Porto.

Kondogbia, versatile midfielder with great passing, instantly transformed into a key player in Sevilla. Since it was purchased at a price of 3.5 million euros from the French second division club, Lens, last year, Kondogbia've played 31 times in the league.

On the international level, Kondogbia successfully offered degree U-20 World Cup this year for the French. Good performance was called up to make his senior national team for the World Cup qualifiers next month against Georgia and Belarus, after making its international debut this month in a trial match against Belgium.
